The ruins of Kherlen Bars is located in the north of the Kherlen River and south east of the Baruun Duruu Lake in Tsagaan ovoo, Dornod province.

This ruins of Kherlen Bars is the only valuable finding of Kidan empire who was strong in the 9th century BC.

The scientists consider that the seven meter high tower was a watchtower of a city. The ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism stated that the ruins will be restored soon.
